A two-day workshop for anyone in the aluminium industry responsible for health, safety or environmental issues.
The programme has been developed and organised by ALFED’s HSE Group. It takes into account the accident issues raised by the health and safety statistics provided by ALFED Members each year, current issues raised by the HSE and topics that are currently being developed by ALFED Companies.
The Workshop also offers excellent opportunity for discussion on the different subjects and for networking with the attending delegates. It is designed with all sectors of the aluminium industry in mind: by members, for members and others who may wish to attend.
The Workshop is suitable for all - from MDs, Operations Directors, to safety professionals, team leaders and shop-floor safety reps. Please consider who you are able to send, even if only for one of the days.
This year, many key issues will be covered in the presentations, including presentations on Working at Heights and Confined Spaces, Permit to Work, a new EHS Apprenticeship Scheme, Electrical Safety, presentation from HSE on Helping Great Britain Work Well plus more.
There will be an interactive session on Behavioural issues provided by 2macs ‘Learning from the Past, Building the Future’.
Day two offers a presentation from the motivational speaker Mandy Hickson, a pilot serving in a front line Tornado GR4 squadron in the Iraq conflict. Her presentation ‘Dream it, Believe it, Do it’ has been sponsored by Bridgnorth Aluminium
