The conference opened with a strong message from Amy Bird, who emphasised that recycling is no longer a “nice to have” but a vital foundation for the global transition to electrification, AI and renewable energy. The morning sessions also featured a non-ferrous market update from Lucy Thomas of Hydro Wrexham and a Women in Recycling Board Member, highlighting the major forces shaping the recycling sector.
